WE ARE ALL ABOUT "THE SPIRIT OF THE LEAGUE"
For more than 25 years the NOTSO Amazon Softball League has been a league of our own. The NOTSOs bring together lesbians, queer positive women and trans people of all abilities to play recreational softball.
There are no try-outs in this league. We try to bring players of a variety of skill levels together so teams are evenly balanced at the beginning of the season. More importantly, we aim to provide a positive and fun environment in which to play ball and make friends. We do this by supporting new players and helping you develop softball skills. We provide more experienced players with an opportunity to mentor and play in an organized league at a recreational level. We call this "The Spirit of the League".

Dayna can't help but think that 2010 is going to be her year to shine. The third time's a charm right? Barely out of rookie status, 2010 marks Dayna's third season playing ball with NOTSO (or at all for that matter) and her second year as a member of the NOTSO Board of Directors. If you've not been formally introduced, she's the one hollering flirtatious insanities from behind the plate or competing with Cheryl for the karaoke mic.

Kristy had never played softball before becoming a Notso in '03 and is thankful that doesn't matter here. This is Ali's third year with the Notsos, but she's been playing softball in one form or another for about a decade. Ali loves playing with the Notsos because *everybody* can play, and really enjoys helping new players gain confidence on the field. If she's not on the field, you might find Ali in the library or the boxing gym, playing video games or hanging out with fun people!
