About Us

WE ARE ALL ABOUT "THE SPIRIT OF THE LEAGUE"

For more than 25 years the NOTSO Amazon Softball League has been a league of our own. The NOTSOs bring together lesbians, queer positive women and trans people of all abilities to play recreational softball.

There are no try-outs in this league. We try to bring players of a variety of skill levels together so teams are evenly balanced at the beginning of the season. More importantly, we aim to provide a positive and fun environment in which to play ball and make friends. We do this by supporting new players and helping you develop softball skills. We provide more experienced players with an opportunity to mentor and play in an organized league at a recreational level. We call this "The Spirit of the League".

The Collective consists of no more than 12 volunteer members elected each Fall at a General Membership Meeting.

The Collective

Dayna E

President
Dayna is still trying to figure out how she has been roped into this one. After an exciting 2010 softball season she is ready and to take on her fourth season playing with the Notso Amazon Softball League and third year on the Notso Collective. Trying to get her attention? She answers to any of the following: Dayna ...Day ...Or Madame President.

Nathalie B

Vice-President
She's here, she's gone and she's back again. Just couldn't stay away from the girls and guys of this collective. Nathalie has been on the collective before and is working to make sure you have a great year. Have some questions? Have some ideas? Grab her on the field or at the bar, she'd love to chat. Hugs and Kisses

Naomi M

Treasurer
This is Naomi's 3rd year with Notsos, and first year on the collective. She's looking forward to another fun filled season ;)

Chris L

Secretary
This is my third season with Notsos and first as a member of the Collective. Looking forward to a great 2011 season and seeing you all on the field!

Tara C

Communications
2011 marks Tara's third year playing in the Notso's and her second year on the Collective.

Dee I

Social Coordinator
This is my 2nd year with Notso, and my 1st year being a member of the Collective, however I have been playing baseball for more than a decade. While on the field you can usually find me at 1st base or roaming somewhere in the outfield. I'm excited to be a part of the Collective this year and hope to bring to you an AWESOME Social Season!!! See you all on the field!!!

Vic M

Team Rep Coordinator
Like gangbusters Vic broke through his first year in the league and jumped right into the collective, hmmm his girlfriend may have had something to do with that, just kidding. Vic's vision is for everybody to have fair fun on the field and feel (like he felt last year) they are a part of something awesome. He is really excited to be working with all the team reps to have the 2011 season be fun, inclusive, and fantastic. If you have any questions look for him on the field or send him a message, he is quite friendly and only bites sometimes.

Ali S

Mentor Coordinator
This is Ali's fourth year with the Notsos, but s/he's been playing softball in one form or another for more than a decade (pick a pronoun - Ali will answer to either!). Ali loves playing with the Notsos because EVERYBODY can play, and s/he really enjoys helping new players gain confidence on the field. You'll probably see Ali more behind the plate than on the field this year, but if s/he's not there, check to see who's playing with the dogs and watching games to cheer everybody on: odds are s/he'll be there!

Deb B

Equipment Manager

Quinn A

Head Umpire
This is Quinn's second year with Notsos and about 25th year playing baseball. When not on the field she can be found in the great outdoors climbing, riding or camping. As head umpire this year she is looking forward to trying to fill the big shoes Mindy Postoff is leaving behind.
